Information about how to set up, manage and delete your account.

Is my login case sensitive?

Yes. Due to privacy concerns, our login is case sensitive for both email addresses and passwords.

How do I reset my password?

You can reset your password by entering your case-sensitive email address at our forgot password page. We will then send you a password reset email. Please note that the password reset email expires one hour after you send the request. If it times out, simply re-enter your email address at the forgot password page.

Can I change the email address associated with my account?

No. Due to privacy concerns, we ask that you create a new account with your new email address. You will also need to upload your DNA to your new account. Please be sure to download your raw DNA file before deleting your account.

How do I upload my raw DNA file?

  1. Create an Athletigen account.
  2. Log in to your Athletigen account.
  3. In the top right corner, click on “Upload DNA”.
  4. Click “Choose File”.
  5. Locate your DNA file on your computer.
  6. Click “Upload”.

How do I download my raw DNA file?

  1. Log in to your Athletigen account.
  2. In the top right corner, click on the three dots.
  3. Click on “Account Settings”.
  4. Under the section titled “Data”, click on “Download Your Genotype Data”.

Please note that after downloading your genetic data, the downloaded file on your device is no longer secured by the layers of encryption provided on Athletigen’s servers.

How do I delete my account?

  1. Log in to your Athletigen account.
  2. In the top right corner, click on the three dots.
  3. Click on “Account Settings”.
  4. Scroll down and click on the red button that says “delete my account”.
  5. Your account, and the DNA file associated with it, will be deleted from our system.
