Athletigen products currently support DNA data files from AncestryDNA and 23andMe (versions 1 - 4). It is important to note that if you attempt to upload a DNA data file from an alternative provider, the format will likely generate errors and you will not be able to view your results. Additionally, to guarantee a successful upload we suggest that you do not use old data files that may have been edited or corrupted. Please download a new copy of your DNA data file from your AncestryDNA or 23andMe account so you can upload your most recent DNA data file to your Athletigen account. AncestryDNA and 23andMe DNA Data Versions
Periodically, DNA analysis providers modify their analysis to better serve the most relevant information to their customers. Some DNA data version may not be compatible with the interpretation analyses used by Athletigen to generate your reports. As of February, 2018, Athletigen supports the follow DNA data versions:
Reports generated with Version 5 may have missing sections due to missing DNA information.
It is important to note what DNA data version you received from 23andMe and AncestryDNA before importing your datafile. This information is available in your AncestryDNA or 23andMe account details. Athletigen assumes no responsibility should you incur a loss in data quality when uploading incompatible DNA data files.
Laboratory genotyping processes are not infallible, therefore data quality can never be guaranteed. It is possible that the DNA datafile you purchased is missing the necessary genetic markers to generate a comprehensive Athletigen report. Athletigen assumes no responsibility for incomplete genotyping and data files purchased from other providers.
