Data Upload

Athletigen products currently support both ancestry and 23&me data files. It is important to note that if you attempt to upload your genetic data from an alternative provider, the format will likely generate errors and you will not be able to view your results. Additionally, to guarantee a successful upload, it is suggested that you do not use old data files that may have been edited or corrupted. To avoid this, please download a new copy of your data file to upload from your service provider. Feel free to contact Athletigen customer service with any further questions or concerns. Athletigen assumes no responsibility should you upload wrong, or corrupt data files.

Chip Version

It is important to note what chip your DNA was tested with before importing your datafile. 23&me and Ancestry have both released several iterations of their testing chip. This creates a discrepancy in the type of number of markers tested for and ultimately affects the content of your data file. Please note that Athletigen products are optimized only for the most recent Ancestry and 23&me chip versions. Importing data files generated by older chip versions will result in a loss of data quality. Athletigen assumes no responsibility should you incur a loss in data quality when uploading obsolete data files.

Data Processing

Laboratory genotyping processes are not infallible, therefore data quality can never be guaranteed. It is possible that your datafile purchased may not contain all the necessary markers to generate the full athletigen report. Athletigen assumes no responsibility for incomplete genotyping and data files purchased from other providers.
